Authorities Terrified of Pavel Seviarynets and Activists of European Belarus

The illegal trial of the heroes of Belarus is taking place in the accelerated mode.

The trial of the activists of European Belarus and Pavel Seviarynets in Mahiliou is held in an accelerated mode, reports the press service of the European Belarus civil campaign.

The so-called "court hearings" are held every day from morning to evening. It is expected that the verdict will be passed by the end of May, say relatives of political prisoners.

It also became known that the activists of European Belarus were registered as "prone to extremism".

We should remind that on May 12th, Mahiliou regional court started the trial against Pavel Seviarynets, activists of the European Belarus civil campaign Jauhen Afnahel, Maksim Vinyarski, Dzmitry Kazlou, Pavel Yukhnievich, Andrei Voinich and the activist Iryna Shchastnaya.

The criminal case is being considered behind closed doors; even close relatives were not allowed into the courtroom. Riot police dispersed those who came to support the political prisoners.
