A Belarusian on His Own Initiative Picked Up Trash in the Polish Forest and Became a Star

Now the mayor is looking for him to express his gratitude.

The administration of the Polish city of Zielona Góra is looking for a citizen of Belarus, who cleaned up the forest on his own initiative, reports Rzeczpospolita.

"Look how we can all be ashamed! Maybe someone knows who he is?" Janusz Kubicki, the mayor of Zielona Góra, wrote on social media, posting a photo of a man with bags full of garbage.

It is known that his name is Alexander. He found a job in Poland, and in his spare time, he also shoots videos and posts them on his YouTube channel.

The man decided to clean up the forest located in Zielona Góra. During the cleanup, he collected ten full bags of trash.

"I just like the people, nature and the town. That's probably it," said the Belarusian.

His deed has caused a wave of positive comments in the Polish segment of the Internet. Many people even ask to grant him Polish citizenship.

"How it's nice to read good news about my compatriots. Great job. The local authorities want to express their gratitude for the initiative," a Belarusian woman wrote.

The city administration in Zielona Góra commended the gesture of the Belarusian, and now officials want to contact him and thank him for cleaning up.
