Boxer Who Demanded Lukashenka’s Resignation Makes Successful Start At Olympics In Tokyo

Dzmitry Asanau achieved a whitewash victory over a fighter from Jordan.

Dzmitry Asanau, a native of Maladechna, fought his first fight at the Olympic Games in Japan, Radio Svaboda reports.

At the stage of 1/16 finals in the weight category up to 63 kg Asanau with a dry score 5:0 defeated the representative of Jordan Obada Al-Kasbeh.

The 1/8 finals will take place on July 31.

Dzmitry Asanau is the only Belarusian boxer who publicly condemned the falsification of last year's presidential elections, demanding the resignation of Lukashenka.
