"You Will Laugh, but Lukashenka Ran Out of Money Again"

Technically, the regime is already bankrupt.

You will laugh, but Lukashenka ran out of money again. However, this time it was more expected than ever. The sanctions imposed on the Belarusian petrochemical industry, chemical fertilizers production, air transport, and transit traffic are not just painful, they are disastrous - these are the main sources of currency for Belarus, reports the Mediatekhnolog telegram.

Technically, Belarus is a bankrupt country, since the last tranche received from Russia in the amount of $ 500 million will allow servicing state loans only until the end of 2021. There is no money, and there will not be money even for those payments that should be made on January 1, 2022. The sanctions imposed on the Lukashenka regime prohibit Western banks from issuing loans to Belarus for more than 90 days, therefore, as always, there are only two cash cows left - Russia and China, but China has long been skeptical about the development of relations with the official Minsk: the market is too small and very far from the geopolitical interests of the Celestial Empire.

Lukashenka's needs for 2022 are about $ 1.5 billion, but this is not the worst thing: 2023 may become critical for the Belarusian economy, when the maturity of payments on Eurobonds, with a total volume of about $ 3.5 billion, comes up.
