Vitsiaz Coach Kanstantsin Yakauleu Left Belarus

The activist of the independent association of athletes took part in peaceful protest marches.

Vitsiaz handball coach and activist of the independent athletes' association Kanstantsin Yakauleu left Belarus and went to Ukraine, Nasha Niva reports.

In June, he served a 15-day detention. Moreover, he was detained on June 16, when together with other athletes he was returning to Minsk from Baranavichy, where he met with Tribuna.com journalist Dzmitry Ruta and was also arrested for 15 days.

Kanstantsin Yakauleu had previously participated in peaceful protest marches and commented on events in Belarus following the August 2020 presidential election.
