It Became Known What Maryja Kolesnikova Said in Her Last Word
Maryja Kolesnikova

An activist from Viktar Babaryka's headquarters began her speech in Belarusian.

The telegram channel of Viktar Babaryka's headquarters told about what the political prisoner Maryja Kolesnikova spoke about in her last speech at the so-called “closed trial.”

Unfortunately, the Belarusians could not hear the last word, but the Telegram channel learned some details.

Maryja Kolesnikova began her speech in Belarusian, citing an excerpt from Alherd Bakharevich, which was sent to her in a letter by solidarity Belarusians. Maryja noted that the trial against her and Maksim Znak is historical, no matter what the decision is.

Maryja Kolesnikova spoke about moral choice, conscience, respect, and love for people. The fact that no matter how the word “democracy” sounds on television, one cannot ignore what is written about our country in the Basic Law.

She thanked all the lawyers who were deprived of the right to the profession during this process and ended the last word with a characteristic speech about the future of Belarus as if not a year had passed.

Let us remind you that the verdict of Maryja and Maxim will be pronounced on September 6 at 12:00. Address: 119a Mayakouskaha St., Minsk District Court.
