Slovak President Speaks At UN In Support Of Protesting Belarusians

Zuzana Čaputová has called on to make the democracy more sustainable.

Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová called on all UN countries to support democratic aspirations in countries like Belarus, reports Euroradio.

"We must make democracy more sustainable by supporting those who are fighting for basic rights, including freedom of speech and the right of assembly... Citizens should have the right to speak freely, particularly in Belarus, or in occupied Crimea, Venezuela, Russia..." stated Zuzana Čaputová at the UN.

Apart from the President of Slovakia, the presidents of the USA, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia spoke in support of Belarus from the main tribune of the UN.
