'Went Out To Fight So They Wouldn't Take My Husband': Story Of First Captured Russian Female Soldier

Private Anna Babitskaya was in the assault group since August 16.

It became known yesterday that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had captured a Russian army servicewoman. Private Anna Babitskaya from Voronezh was in the ranks of the assault group.

This was reported by blogger and AFU officer Anatoly Shtefan ("Shtirlitz").

"She says she is a medic, but the guys don't believe her for some reason. The last entry in her notebook is 'I'm going to fight. Here I come... I am lucky to be exchanged," she said in a video message.

According to the prisoner, she has been in the war since August 16. At the same time, Babitskaya said that after the announcement of mobilisation in the Russian Federation, she herself went to fight so that they would not take her husband.
