Belarusian IT Specialists Receive Call-Papers From Military Commissariats

They are required to “appear for data clarification”.

After the announcement of mobilization in Russia and Lukashenka's statements about the creation of an allied group of troops, information appeared that reserve servicemen in Belarus began to receive draft notices. The devby.io publication managed to find two IT pros who recently received “letters of happiness” from the military registration and enlistment offices.

One call-up paper came to a reserve officer about a month and a half ago. The purpose of the appearance in the military registration and enlistment office is to “clarify the data”. According to the IT specialist, he graduated from the military department of the university and received a deferment from military service over “large family”. He is not in Belarus now.

Another call-up paper came to an IT specialist who lives in Hrodna. He is a private in the reserve, he served in the army a year ago. He is supposed to appear at the military registration and enlistment office in the second half of October, and also “to clarify the data”.

Meanwhile, the Belarusian media wrote that the authorities had requested lists of those liable for military service from the heads of state-owned enterprises, while former soldiers of the Special Operations Forces, the Airborne Forces, and former policemen were called up for military training.
