Ex-CIA Chief On Response To Russian Nuclear Strike: We Will Destroy All Their Troops In Ukraine

The US, led by NATO forces, will destroy all Russian troops and equipment in Ukraine and Crimea, as well as sink the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in case Russia decides to carry out its threats and strike Ukraine with tactical nuclear weapons. Former CIA chief and retired army general David Petraeus said this in an interview with ABC News.

"We will destroy every conventional force we can see and identify on the battlefield in Ukraine and Crimea, as well as all Russian ships in the Black Sea," Petraeus said.

In his view, such a nonnuclear strike from the US would be enough and no nuclear strike would be necessary.

"It can't go unanswered. It cannot go unanswered. We want to interfere with the nuclear escalation," Petraeus said. "And we must show that it cannot be accepted in any way."
