ISW: Ukrainian Troops Break Through Luhansk Region's Border Towards Kreminna

AFU achieved significant successes near Lyman and in the Kherson region.

Over the past 48 hours, Ukrainian troops have made significant advances near Lyman and in the Kherson region.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports this.

"Geolocation footage confirms that the AFU is continuing its offensive east of Lyman and may have broken through the border of the Luhansk region in the direction of Kremenna," the analysts note.

ISW also point out that Ukraine's defenders are successfully advancing north of Lyman, that is, on the border of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions west of Svatovo and have liberated Borovaya, Sheykivka, Iziyumskoye and Druzhelyubivka from the occupants.

Successes of the AFU in the Kherson region

Meanwhile, the Institute for the Study of War told of significant successes that the Ukrainian military achieved in the period from 2 to 3 October in the north of the Kherson region.

In particular, we are talking about the liberation of such settlements as Mikhailovka, Havrilovka and Novoalexandrivka.

"Ukrainian successes in the Kherson region are shaking up the already vulnerable Russian information space. The occupiers increasingly accuse NATO intelligence of exposing weaknesses in Russian defense and urge Russian troops to prepare for urban battles and develop new defense positions," the experts stressed.

The report adds that even the most elite Russian military units continue to degrade as the war unfolds.
