Kherson Region Frontline Disrupted: AFU Liberated Several More Settlements

Ukrainian troops are moving south towards the Russian crossing at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to liberate Ukrainian territories from the occupiers. In addition to advancing in the east, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to break through the front in the north of the Kherson region and liberate a number of settlements.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the advance of Ukrainian troops without details in his evening video message. “Today, the offensive of our army and all our defenders continued. There are new liberated settlements in several regions,” he said.

The Ukrainian forces are moving south along the Dnipro River towards the crossing at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Reuters called this advance the biggest breakthrough of the front in the south since the start of a full-scale invasion.

The depth of the advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also evidenced by the comment of the Gauleiter of the occupied Kherson region Vladimir Saldo to Russian state television. He announced a breakthrough near the village of Dudchany. It is located almost 30 km south of the front line before the breakthrough.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the settlements of Lyubimivka, Shevchenkivka, Mikhailivka, Zolota Balka, Novoaleksandrivka and Gavrilivka. This was reported by the DeepState project and the Kochubeivka United Territorial Community on their Facebook pages, posting photos and videos of the Ukrainian military in some of these settlements.

“A blue-and-yellow flag has returned to Zolota Balka, Kherson region, the National Guardsmen report,” the page of the Kochubeivka UTC says.

The village of Mikhailivka, located north of Novoaleksandrivka and Gavrilivka, is also marked in blue on the DeepState map. It means that Mikhailivka is also de-occupied.
