A criminal investigation had been initiated against Aliaksandr Struhalski.

The Chief Engineer at Milkavita OJSC Aliaksandr Struhalski was detained For "financing extremist organizations, zerkalo.io reports.

He is also charged with subscribing to "extremist resources" and attempting to "disrupt the referendum" in 2022 at polling stations in Homiel.

The materials were transferred to the Office of the Investigative Committee of the Homiel region for initiating a criminal case under article 361-2 (“Financing the activities of an extremist group”) of the Criminal Code of Belarus. The maximum sentence term is up to six years in prison under this article.
