They demand from the parish to take the property from the church within a few days.

The authorities are terminating the contract of gratuitous use of the Red Catholic Church with the community "Roman Catholic Parish of St. Simon and St. Helen". The church authorities have already received notification to this effect. The parish is required to remove the property from the church within a few days. This information has been confirmed by several Christian Vizia's sources.

The Church of St. Simon and St. Helen in Minsk is better known as the Red Cathedral. The church is located on Independence Square, next to the Government House and is one of the symbols of the Belarusian capital. The building of the church, which was built in 1910 using funds of the philanthropist Edvard Voynilovich, was not given to the community after Belarus gained its independence, but was used by the community free of charge. In 2013, the church was assigned by right of economic management to the Minskaya Spadchyna. The other day the organization notified the congregation about the termination of the use agreement.

At night on September 26, a mysterious fire broke out in the church, after which it was closed.
