Officials Of 'Executive Committees' To Also Draw Up Protocols 'For Overpricing'

The decision has already been passed in Homel and in seven districts.

The right to draw up protocols on "price violations" granted for officials at the local level. The workers of economic or trade and services departments will be able to draw up "price" administrative violations and pass the protocols to the court. The decisions have already been taken by the executive committees of Homel and seven districts of the Homel region. The documents are published on the National Legal Internet Portal, Zerkalo reports.

According to the decisions, the officials get the authority "to draw up reports on administrative offenses and prepare cases of administrative offenses for consideration. This applies to offenses under Article 13.2 of the Administrative Code on pricing violations and the first part of paragraph 21, decree of the Council of Ministers No. 713 "On the system of price regulation" of October 19, 2022.

Article 13.2 is dedicated to violation of the procedure for prices/tariffs application and formation, including exceeding the maximum prices, markups, profitability standards, sale of goods with price violations. The mentioned paragraph refers to the fines for failure to specify or incorrect information in the invoices, affecting the pricing of goods.

Department of Trade and Services in the rank of head, deputy head, head of department, deputy head of sector, chief specialists, as well as the head and senior specialists of the Department of Business Economics of Homel City Executive Committee will draw up protocols for such violations.

The deputy chairman of the district executive committee on economic issues, heads (in some cases, their deputies) and chief specialists of departments of economy, or trade and services, or both departments at once will deal with these issues.

The relevant decisions were made in Brahin, Buda-Kosheleva, Zhitkovichy, Zhlobin, Rechytsa, Svetlahorsk and Chechersk districts.
