Media: Two Senior Naftan Managers Detained

They were arrested at their work places.

Two high-ranking executives of the Naftan joint stock company have been detained at their workplaces.

According to the @naftanFREE telegram channel, Mikalai Sakalou, head of the production and technical equipment department, and Siarhei Barokha, deputy chief mechanic for modernization and repairs, were detained.

"The exact reasons for the detention are not known, but in a narrow circle of people close to them, the activity of the law enforcers is linked to the so-called "Case on corruption and criminality in the construction of the delayed coking unit". The construction of this facility is surrounded by many insidious deeds of the managers and inter-departmental conflicts at the plant. For example, a 'sabotage' involving damage to supply cables during the construction of the plant might have covered up its inadequate quality," the oilmen's TG channel reports.
