Siarhei Sliazhou

The political prisoner was accused of "insulting Lukashenka".

On November 24, the Homel regional court closed-door session passed a sentence upon political prisoner Siarhei Sliazhou, resident of Zhlobin, who was accused of "insulting Lukashenka" (part 1 of article 368 of the Criminal Code) and "inciting other social enmity and discord" (part 1 of article 130 of the Criminal Code).

As Viasna human rights defenders report, political prisoner Siarhei Sliazhou was detained on September 29, 2021 in Zhlobin in a criminal case for comments in the Internet after the death of KGB officer Dzmitry Fedasiuk and IT specialist Andrei Zeltser during a shoot-out in Minsk.

Details of the charge against Sliazhou are not yet known. He was found "guilty" and sentenced to three years imprisonment in a general regime colony. The case was heard by judge Ruslan Tsaruk.
