Encirclement Of Bridgehead: AFU Take Control Of All Roads Near Kherson

Russian troops are blocked on the right bank of the Dnipro River.

Ukrainian defenders continue attacks towards Kreminna, Luhansk region. Occupants, in turn, are trying to break through the AFU defenses near Bakhmut.

This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Eastern Front

Active fighting is taking place in the east of the Kharkiv region and the west of the Luhansk region. Ukrainian forces continue their offensive on the Svatovo-Kreminna line.

Russian sources claim that the occupants are trying to push the AFU back from the R-66 highway connecting Kreminna and Svatovo. Enemy forces believe that Ukrainian units want to enter Kreminna from the west. However, the ISW does not confirm this information.

The AFU General Staff does not comment on the advance in this direction, but notes that fighting is taking place near the border in the Kharkiv region and northwest of Svatovo.

Donetsk region

The most intense fighting is currently taking place near Bakhmut. The occupiers are trying to capture Soledar to advance to Chasovy Yar. This in turn, they believe, will help block Bakhmut.

The enemy is also aggravating assaults on the Avdiivka-Donetsk line. The AFU repelled enemy attacks near Pervomayske, Vodyane and Marinka. In addition, the Russians are shelling settlements along the entire front line, including Ugledar, Pavlivka, Prechistovka and Vodyane. The Ukrainian military continues to hold the defenses and repel enemy assaults.

South

In the Kherson region, local battles continue in several directions at once. In particular, the AFU continues to block the occupants on the right bank of the Dnipro River.

There is also fighting in the north and northwest of the Kherson region. The Russians hit the liberated settlements of Kreshchenivka and Belyavka with S-300 anti-aircraft systems.

It is known that occupants have been using aviation more frequently in southern Ukraine. This is probably due to the enemy's damaged logistics and the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have established fire control over the main highways in the region.
