Russian propagandists accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of this.
On Sunday, November 6, the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, temporarily occupied by the RF Armed Forces, allegedly came under "shelling", the Russian occupiers claim. The Russian propaganda, as expected, accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine of "damaging the gateway".
Corresponding messages were distributed by Russian media. It is alleged that the strikes towards the hydroelectric power plant were allegedly carried out from the HIMARS MLRS, writes obozrevatel.com.
At the same time, the invaders tried to show off their air defense system: they say, it shot down five of the six shells, but one hit the dam lock. Propagandists claim that there are destructions, but there are no details about their nature yet.
It is important to note that Vladimir Saldo, the Kremlin-appointed head of the occupation administration of the Kherson region, earlier announced the forced evacuation of residents of the Kakhovka district (in a 15-kilometer zone on the left bank of the Dnieper near the hydroelectric power plant).
The collaborator stated that for the removal of residents "due to the high level of military threat" from November 6, coercive measures will be applied.
Earlier, the media have repeatedly reported on the plans of the Russian Federation to blow up the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station during the retreat of Russian troops from the right bank of the Dnieper near Kherson.
