The Russians are walking on corpses in the literal sense of the word.
Ukrainian journalist Taras Berezovets has outlined Russian losses near Bakhmut. When asked by a TV presenter what successes the Ukrainian armed forces have achieved near Bakhmut lately, Taras Berezovets preferred not to answer, reminding that this is classified information.
However, an officer of the 1st Independent Special Forces Brigade named after Ivan Bogun has announced in figures the losses of the Russian army in the hottest point of Ukraine as of today.
Taras Berezovets' interview for Pryamiy TV channel can be watched on YouTube.
The Ukrainian army captain reacted to what he heard with the following phrase: "We traditionally do not comment on operations that are still underway, but I can tell you that hundreds of Russian occupants are killed there every day. Every day."
The political technologist gave numbers of enemy losses near Bakhmut: "This is the Ukrainian Verdun. That's how I call it, because the Russians have already lost more than 12,000 dead there. It is a conservative figure. Other sources specify up to 20 thousand killed. But I do not see it, to be honest. 12 thousand looks pretty realistic. This is from the beginning of the war, and they come in waves, literally.
Taras Berezovets spoke frankly about how inhumanly the occupants treat the bodies of their own dead: "Russians walk on corpses, literally. Everything there is littered with corpses. There are mountains of corpses in front of some of our positions, which, of course, they do not clean up and they are not going to bury them.
