Nogu Svelo! Frontman Shows Dead Occupier's Family Celebrating The New Year
MAKSIM POKROVSKY

Maksim Pokrovsky made a new music video.

The frontman of the Russian band Nogu Svelo! Maxim Pokrovsky is living in the US now. He released a video for the song "Happy New Year, Son!". The video was published on December 20 on the YouTube channel of the band.

The music clip starred Russian actors Chulpan Khamatova and Artur Smolyaninov, who opposed the Russian attack on Ukraine and left the Russian Federation. The video was filmed in the capital of Latvia, Riga.

Smolyaninov and Khamatova performed the roles of the parents of the Russian occupier killed in the war. They celebrate the New Year without him in the story. The occupier's father turns on the TV and starts watching a propaganda channel at the end of the video, which is probably broadcasting the New Year's address of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Happy New Year, son!" - Pokrovsky sings behind the scenes.

“We are releasing our work to the public, we’ve done our best. Now it's your turn to help us reach those who understand something else in the ongoing events,” the artist wrote on Instagram on the music video opening day.

“They continue to stare at the TV even after what happened,” the audience reacted to the premiere of the anti-war video.
