Did Lukashists Damage A Businessman's Car To Involve Him In A Crash?

A Belarusian businessman told a strange story.

Businessman Ales Straltsou shared his suspicions with Belsat. In his opinion, the Belarusian security forces developed an operation to kill him: they created a front company in his name and damaged the suspension of his car.

Ales Straltsou, a businessman from Minsk, was forced to leave the country in January 2022.

Ales says: what is happening now in our Belarus took place during all the years of Lukashenka's rule. Straltsou recalls his difficult adventures in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

“I was beaten. I was imprisoned several times during our Belarusian Maidan in 2006. They took me out of the buses, escorted me through the so-called corridor, when they beat me, then they put me on a stretch in the corridor,” he recalls.

And in the practice of those days there were both physical and moral tortures with respect to arrested on political grounds.

“I just crawl on the floor. I crawled into the cell. Because I could no longer use my legs,” Ales tells about the terrible moments of his life.

Straltsou took part in a protest action of entrepreneurs in the center of Minsk on January 10, 2008. The authorities dispersed the protest. He was condemned to 2 years imprisonment for "organization or active participation in group actions leading to serious interference with public order". Then Ales was recognized as a political prisoner. The largest number of current political prisoners have been convicted or remain under investigation under the same article.

According to Ales, 'political purges' which began in our country much earlier are now unfolding in Belarus. It's just that the majority of the population did not pay attention to them.

“Since the 2000s, I have often met with a moment when they called and said that one or another should be fired... The KGB and all the nomenclature (governmental) authorities, of course, were not favorable to me and considered me an enemy,” says Straltsou.

But this year, the vicious practice of repression and pressure on citizens has reached an extraordinary level. Any dirty method is used. Ales claims that the special services tried to create accounts on the Google Business Profile platform on his behalf.

“I see that this is some very dubious office, but in truth, it looks like a fraudulent one. It's because they have a rating of about zero, one star out of five possible. People complain that they promised to find a job and then 'flap' saying that there are no job opportunities. It seems to be some kind of intent!" the businessman explains.

The logical development of events was that the driving systems failed in Straltsou's car during the trip. The day before, “either policemen or some incomprehensible road services” were spinning near the car.

Now Ales Straltsou is safe in Ukraine. He is going to develop media projects aimed at positive changes in Belarus.
