CIT Announces Transfer Of Russian Military Equipment Closer To Border With Ukraine

The situation is heating up.

Russia continues to transfer military equipment closer to the border with Ukraine. This is confirmed by the research group Conflict Intelligence Team, which has studied the videos published on social networks in recent days, Radio Svoboda reports.

In particular, it is alleged that units of the 1st Guards Tank Army have advanced to the border from the training ground near Voronezh. As previously reported, in December, the equipment of this army arrived at the Pogonovo training ground south of Voronezh. In several videos posted on social networks in recent days, the military equipment of this army was seen at stations in the Belgorod region. CIT notes that this is not only about the equipment that was previously located near Voronezh, but also about additional equipment that arrived from near Moscow.

In other videos, CIT experts also noticed the redeployment of the military from Smolensk to the south of the Bryansk region - also to the border with Ukraine.

Earlier in the Bryansk region, the equipment of the 76th airborne division from Pskov, one of the main strike forces of the Russian army, was also noticed.

The transfer of equipment across the Russian territory comes against the backdrop of large-scale military exercises in Belarus with the participation of the Russian military and equipment, as well as naval exercises in the Black Sea, which began today, with the participation of several large landing ships.

Representatives of the US authorities, citing intelligence data, have been declaring in recent days that Russia has practically completed the concentration of its shock troops near the borders with Ukraine, and a large-scale invasion of this country, which is feared in the West, could begin "any moment". The total number of the Russian troops near the Ukrainian borders is estimated to exceed 120,000. The Spiegel and a number of British media claimed, citing intelligence data, that the invasion could begin as early as February 16. Official Washington did not name exact dates. The White House and the State Department say they still believe in the possibility of convincing Russia to choose the path of diplomacy. At the same time, the United States strongly recommends that its citizens leave Ukraine.

Russia denies invasion plans, claims that Russian troops have the right to move across its territory, and accuses Ukraine itself of preparing a provocation or offensive in the Donbas.
