"There Will Definitely Be No Blitzkrieg That Russia Was Counting On"

Russian troops entered Ukraine this morning. The Office of the President of Ukraine has issued a statement.

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, stated this, RBC-Ukraine reported, referring to the briefing.

"The blitzkrieg that Russia was counting on will definitely not happen," he said.

Blitzkrieg - the theory of rapid warfare created in the early 20th century, according to which victory is achieved in a time period counted in days or months, before the enemy manages to mobilize and deploy its main military forces.

We note that Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov urged to join actively the ranks of the territorial defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their region. At the same time, the National Police announced that they would arm veterans of the Interior Ministry.
