Ukrainian Troops Liberated Makarov Near Kyiv

The enemy has been pushed back from the capital.

Ukrainian defenders have completely liberated from the Russian invaders the urban-type settlement of Makarov in Kyiv region.

This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Defence on Facebook.

"Thanks to the heroic actions of our defenders the national flag of Ukraine has been raised over the town of Makarov, the enemy has been repelled," the message reads.

It is stressed that as of late Monday, March 21, the enemy temporarily holds the land corridor with occupied Crimea and blocks access to the Azov Sea.

Meanwhile, having lost their offensive potential, the occupiers continue to form and move reserves from deep inside Russian territory to the Ukrainian border. The Russian Armed Forces have suspended the planned dismissal of officers, warrant officers and sergeants from military service in connection with large losses of personnel (including those in the commanding ranks).
