The Lukashists Cancel Their Counter-Sanctions In Shame

Polish apples are on sale again.

Polish apples went back on the Belarusian market. Recall that at the beginning of the year they fell under the Minsk counter-sanctions, but at the end of April, the restrictions were removed from this product.

Recall that Belarus has introduced a ban on imports from "unfriendly countries" in response to Western sanctions since 1 January this year. The restrictions included apples from Poland, which were often cheaper than Belarusian ones. Many retail chains began to buy Ukrainian apples instead of Polish ones. But it was more expensive. However, after the start of the war, the supply of these fruits from Ukraine stopped.

At the end of April, Minsk withdrew apples from the counter-sanctions list. Now, these fruits from Poland appear on the market. The apples are available for E-delivery buyers, zerkalo.io draws attention.

At the same time, in E-delivery, Polish apples are now offered at a discount, they cost 3.99 rubles per kilogram (the price tag without promotion is 5.79 rubles). The rest of the fruits are from Turkey and Azerbaijan. Belarusian apples are not available for ordering.

The delivery service of the Perekrestok retail chain also does not have domestic apples. But you can buy fruit from Moldova (from 3.99 up to 5.46 rubles), from Turkey (from 3.51 up to 7.29 rubles), Azerbaijan (5.69 rubles).

Belarusian apples were found in the delivery of Green retail chain. The price is 4.27 rubles per kilogram (the Golden kind). The rest are imports (the countries of origin are not specified). Prices for imported fruits are from 3.99 up to 9.43 rubles.

Recall that there have been problems with the availability of domestic apples on the Belarusian market for several years, especially closer to spring. True, in some cases they end at the beginning of the year. For example, in June 2020, the State Control reported a shortage of Belarusian apples in the Hrodna region. It turned out that the apples from the Stabilization Fund, which were supposed to be available until the end of May, ran out in January. Polish farmers came to our aid in such situations.
