Heavy Losses Make Russian Troops Retreat on Izyum

The Russians, supported by Ka-52 Alligator helicopters, are conducting an offensive in the direction of Liman - Stary Karavan, the combat operations are continuing.

This is reported in the June 1 morning report of the AFU General Staff.

In the Liman direction, the enemy strengthened units and regrouped them.

In the Donetsk direction, units of the aggressor, supported by aircraft, focus their core efforts on the offensive. The enemy is firing mortars, artillery and MLRS along the line of contact. One repaired the railway bridge crossing near Kupyansk to restore the logistics of the Kupyansk - Liman railway line.

In the Severodonetsk direction, the aggressor conducted assault actions in the northern, southern and eastern districts of Severodonetsk, with separate units succeeding, consolidating in the city centre.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is trying to dislodge our troops from their positions in Belogorivka and Vrubivka. It used an assault and army aviation in the areas of Kamyshevakha, Berestovo and Nirkovo.

In the Seversk direction, the Russians carry out engineering equipment for positions in the Bryansk region at about 3 km from the Ukrainian border.

On the Volyn and Polessk directions, the Belarusian Armed Forces continue to carry out tasks to enhance the protection of the border section in the Brest and Homel regions. Activities to check the combat readiness of some formations and military units continue.

The aggressor carried out an aerial missile strike from Su-35 aircraft against Belopolye, Sumy region. Artillery fire struck near the settlement of Seredina-Buda, Sumy region.

In the Slobozhansk direction, the enemy focuses on holding positions and reconnaissance.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy fired cannon and rocket artillery at the settlements of Aleksandrivka, Slatino and Tsirkuny. The enemy carried out strikes by army helicopters near the settlements of Veseloye and Ternovoye.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy regrouped its forces. As a result of losses near Dovghenkoye, it withdrew units for recovery to Izyum. To strengthen the protection and defence of logistic routes, it reinforced the grouping in Kupyansk by moving BTGs. It conducted reconnaissance of our troops' positions using the Orlan-10 UAV in the areas of Izyum, Pervomaysk and Bolshaya Kamyshevakha.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out engineering work to improve the fortifications of the second line of defence. It relocated a T-62 tank battalion and a motorized rifle battalion to the Vasilyevka area.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhivka and Novopavlovsk directions, the enemy holds its position and inflicts fire from mortars and barrel artillery.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsk direction, the enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding positions and creating additional defensive lines. In the areas of Mykolaivka, Novopavlovsk and Shirokoye it carried out massive shelling from MLRS, cannon artillery and mortars.

In the Black Sea and the Azov Sea, Russian ships continue to carry out tasks to isolate the area of hostilities and blockade of navigation.

In the past 24 hours in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions, nine enemy attacks were repelled, two tanks, thirteen artillery systems, eight armored fighting vehicles and six enemy vehicles were destroyed.

In the south, the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the Russian occupants' losses, except for military equipment, amount to about seventy men.
