SSU General: Lukashenka May Be Dismissed By 'Enforcer'

The dictator may well lose his power.
Major-General of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Yagun believes that State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich may become Aliaksandr Lukashenka's successor. He said this on air of the Espreso TV channel.
"Aleksandr Volfovich, whom the Russian lobby has set as "enforcer," may replace Lukashenka," said Yahun, in particular.
According to the major-general, the ruler of Belarus may well lose his power.
"It's a fact that the Republic of Belarus may lose such a player as Lukashenka, and someone else will take his place," he said.
Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich, a native of Kazan, was the Chief of General Staff - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus from January 2020 until January 2021. Since January 26 last year, he has been state secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus.
After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Volfovich was put on the US and EU sanctions lists. He is also under sanctions imposed by the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Japan.
