Ukraine Attacked By Missiles From Belarus At Night

An air alert was declared in a number of regions.

During the night of August 25, the sounds of explosions were heard in Mykolaiv, Kryvyi Rih and Kyiv region. Before that, air raid alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine, reports Glavred.

Explosions in Mykolaiv

Around 03:20, there were explosions in Mykolaiv, the Suspilne news agency reports. According to eyewitnesses, a fire broke out as a result of the explosions away from the town. The occupiers probably launched rockets from the territory of temporarily occupied Kherson region.

Explosions in Kyiv region

Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, said that several sounds of explosions had been heard in one of the communities in Vyshgorod district.

"The data is being clarified. Emergency services are already working," the official added.

He urged residents of the region not to ignore the air-raid alarms.

Eyewitnesses claim that quite loud explosions were heard in Kyiv region around 02:50.

The location of the strike, where the fire broke out, is known, but we have to wait for official confirmation of the data.

"It was very loud!", "Some people can hear the sound now, it's from our aviation over the region," eyewitnesses noted.

Explosions in Kryvyi Rih

During the night of August 25, Russian occupants shelled the Metallurgical district of Kryvyi Rih with Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers.

The Russian shelling was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, on Telegram around 03:30.

"Kryvyi Rih. Several arrivals of Tornado-S MLRS (operational range up to 120 kilometres) in the Metallurgical district with cluster ammunition," the official wrote.

He added that all services were working on the spot and the consequences of the arrivals were being clarified. Citizens were urged to be cautious because of the threat of being blown up by an unexploded shell.

"Look very carefully under your feet - there may be unexploded shells. In case of discovering it, call 101 and 102 immediately," Vilkul said.

Missile Launches from Belarus

The TSN website, citing Belarusian telegram channels, reports that some of the missiles were fired from the territory of Belarus.

"Belarusian partisans report rocket launches in Homel region and sounds of explosions," TSN reports.

"2:35-2:40 Homel district. Launching of rockets. Several explosions reportedly heard near Slavutich. Added: Sounds of explosions are also heard in Brahin district. There are reports of explosions in Kyiv region," reads the report of the Belaruski Hayun monitoring group.

"According to the clarified data, there were from 4 to 6 rocket launches from the ground between 2:35 and 2:40. The launch point is between Homel and Rechytsa districts," another report specifies.
