Details Of This Morning's Stadler Train Accident Become Known

The accident has happened near the Kosava-Palesskaye station.

The 27-year-old driver of the Audi, which was hit by a Stadler train, died, the press service of the Investigative Committee reports. Investigators are working at the scene of the accident.

The accident happened near the Kosava-Palesskaye station in the morning of August 5. The train, going from Brest to Minsk, crashed into a car at the railway crossing. There were no injuries among the passengers and train drivers.

Belarusian Railway specifies that the driver of the Audi violated the traffic rules, having driven onto the railway at a red traffic lightt. The driver started braking immediately, but was not able to avoid the tragedy.

The incident caused traffic problems on the Baranavichy-Brest section. Trains №734, №736 Brest-Minsk, №6302, №6304, №6303 Baranavichy-Brest will arrive with a delay.
