Mozyr Refinery Employee: We Halted In Summer And Goofed Off

The plant shops work at minimum load.

Gleb works at the Mozyr oil refinery. As he told zerkalo.io, wages in general at the plant have not changed. Various payments, such as payments for children, quarterly bonuses, and vacation assistance were suspended for a couple of months.

- We used to get something for Oilman's Day. This time we did not. They did not give any money for buying vegetables either, though they used to. The children's health-improvement allowance was paid in spring. This year, nothing has been paid yet, Gleb says and adds the wages have not risen in the last three years.

Judging by the workload, the enterprise is working at about 40% of the usual volume in previous years, and the plant worker continues. The shops either operate at minimum load or shut down for "scheduled repairs".

- In summer, we halted the work and goofed off. There were four such stops.

Gleb says workers leave but not en masse. According to him, layoffs often relate to politically motivated reprisals.
