Explosions In Crimea: AFU Colonel Announces Russia’s Losses

This refers to the destruction of at least several squadrons of the Russian Air Force.

In the Russian-occupied Ukrainian Crimea in August, several military airfields were blown up, logistics facilities and several warehouses were hit.

Several squadrons of the Russian Air Force were destroyed or damaged, Roman Svitan, a military pilot-instructor and colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reserve, said on the air of the telethon.

“We can really talk about several squadrons of the Russian Air Force — they were destroyed or damaged. A squadron consists of 12 aircraft, three units of four aircraft each,” the expert shared.

The interlocutor added that there are two pairs in the unit.

“That is, at least a couple of squadrons were practically damaged, that is, more than two dozen aircraft ...,” he explained.
