Yandex Go Drivers Massively Blocked In Minsk?

The company commented on the information about strange messages for taxi drivers.

A Zerkalo reader reported that since September 1, drivers of the Yandex Go taxi service have allegedly been massively blocked in Minsk. The company says that there was no increase in the number of disconnections from the service.

According to a reader, drivers began receiving messages alerting them on the suspension of access to the service, with a notification that the access will be resumed in 50 days.

The press-center of Yandex Go told us that recently there has been no increase in disconnections from orders in the service. New technologies for monitoring violations that could increase the number of disconnected drivers were also not introduced.

“A driver may lose access to orders for gross or repeated violations of service standards. For example, if he repeatedly requires users to increase the payment for the trip or asks to cancel the order,” the company says. “Our support service is ready to promptly check the disabling of access, indicate its reason and the procedure for returning to orders. Earlier, an independent committee of drivers was launched in Belarus to review indefinite restrictions (the innovation does not apply to gross violations). It is possible to apply to a special group, and after analysis, the drivers will give a recommendation to the service for each case.
