Belarusian Ambassador Called ‘Onto Carpet’ At Armenian MFA For Explanations After Makei’s Words

The diplomat will have to answer for the Lukashist's phrase about Nancy Pelosi's visit.

Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Aliaksandr Kanyuk was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of this country because of the words of the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Uladzimir Makei about the visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The other day, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei, referring to the visit of Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi to Armenia, said that such visits contribute to the aggravation of conflicts. The Armenian Foreign Ministry reacted to this and summoned the Belarusian ambassador for a talk.

“The head of the diplomatic mission of Belarus in Armenia was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, where they conveyed to him the concerns and considerations of the Armenian side regarding the above statement,” the message says.

On September 25, Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei said that visits like the trip of Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Armenia only contribute to the aggravation of conflicts.

“Therefore, such visits will not be associated with the appeasement of certain conflicts, but, on the contrary, with aggravation. Relying on some guys or gals from outside is hardly advisable,” Makei said.
