'Will Flee Like From Lyman': Town That AFU May Liberate Named

The Russians may make another "goodwill gesture".

The head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Gaidai, told the 24tv.ua website about this. According to him, despite the difficult situation in Luhansk region, it is absolutely under the control of the AFU.

"Very brutal fighting continues in Luhansk region. The situation is difficult, but absolutely controlled by the AFU. Everything is obvious both from the Donetsk direction, near Bilogorivka, and from the Svatova-Kreminna direction," Gaidai said.

The head of the RMA noted that in this direction it is "difficult for the AFU to move forward" because the occupants have pulled up "huge reserves" and "thoroughly mined everything." However, "success is still on the side of the Ukrainian Defence Forces."

"If it wasn't hard out there, all the same - step by step, meter by meter, Luhansk region will be de-occupied," stressed Serhiy Gaidai.

According to Gaidai, when the AFU liberates Kreminna, the way to Rubizhne and Severodonetsk will open. And there is such a possibility that Russians will flee from the temporarily occupied regional centre when the AFU comes "close to Severodonetsk".

"We saw them fleeing from Kherson and Lyman. Severodonetsk is a small town, 4x4 kilometres, such a square, located on flat ground. But when troops approach from the side of Rubizhne, it becomes semi-surrounded. And I am sure that the occupiers will leave the town in such a case," he assured.
