Poland Sets Up International Coalition Of Tank Donors For Ukraine

The Department of Defense has held talks with countries that have Leopard 2A4s.

Poland initiated the creation of an international coalition of donors to provide Ukraine with modern armored vehicles. This was announced on Twitter by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

“On my initiative, we held talks among countries with Leopard 2A4 tanks in order to jointly create a coalition of donors of modern armored weapons for Ukraine,” Blaszczak wrote.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense did not specify the countries in question. But he published a photo where he sits against the background of the flags of Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Canada, Turkey and NATO.

As the Charter97.org website reported earlier, Western countries promised Ukraine 321 heavy tanks. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko on Friday, January 27.
