AFU Colonel: Russian Armed Forces Can Be Destroyed Within One Night

Russian air defences are completely absent.

It is impossible to close the territory of Russia with air defence systems because of its large territory. Therefore, now the Russians are trying to cover at least specific objects. Military expert and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan made the statement in an interview with Obozrevatel.

According to him, the effectiveness of the Russian Pantsir air defence systems, one of which was placed on the roof of the Defence Ministry building in Moscow, is up to 30%.

“They are effective when they are operating together with the overall air defence systems, as one of the air defence echelons. After they “dragged” the Pantsir to the Ministry of Defence, they had to raise anti-aircraft installations at all the nearest houses and set up the Igla systems, taking the S-300, S-400, and fighters there. The Pantsir is more about a show,” the expert explained.

According to Colonel Svitan, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can overcome the Russian air defences, because the Russian air defences are completely absent.

“They do not have anti-aircraft missile systems covering the area. This is because of their bad planning and theft. They didn't prepare for war. There was a nuclear doctrine and that's all,” he said.

At the same time, according to the expert, destroying the nuclear arsenal is a bad idea, because it will turn out to be a so-called dirty bomb. There will be no nuclear explosion, but the dispersal of a nuclear charge will occur, and the territory will be contaminated for 1000 years.

“Moreover, there are still missiles with nuclear warheads on submarines, which cannot be destroyed at one moment. That is, it is not a solution to the problem. This is the task of the world community, the task of the UN to adopt a resolution or make a decision on the transfer or reassignment of Russia's nuclear arsenals to the UN, and then the 12th Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is responsible for monitoring and protecting these nuclear arsenals, will salute the blue helmets and will be directly subordinate by them," the expert said.

Roman Svitan added that those officers who are in charge of controlling weapons capable of destroying the whole world are in the 12th Directorate.

“They have certain issues associated with the responsibility for the implementation of the task, so they will definitely follow the decision of the UN and will carry out their tasks. In general, the destruction of the Russian Armed Forces is really possible within one night,” he concluded.
