Russian Officer Killed In Karabakh Turns Out To Be Belarusian Native

He was buried in his native village.
On September 20, a car carrying Russian peacekeepers was shelled near the village of Dzhanyatag in Nagorno-Karabakh. All five servicemen were killed.
Among the Russian servicemen killed in Karabakh was the deputy commander of the peacekeeping contingent, Captain First Rank Ivan Kouhan. He was a native of Belarus.
Ivan Kouhan was born on September 23, 1972 in the village of Kaniukhi, Kapyl district. The village is known for being the birthplace of writer Ales Adamovich.
Radio Svaboda learnt that Kouhan was buried in his native village.
