Details.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky introduced to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on sectoral sanctions against the Russian Federation and Belarus in the defense industry. The restrictions will remain in effect for 50 years.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to project 10271.

The project proposes to approve the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated November 20, 2023.

According to the document, it is planned to apply the following sectoral special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the military-industrial sphere for a period of 50 years:

1 prohibition on conducting transactions with goods and services, the international transfer of which is subject to the Law of Ukraine “On State Control over International Transfers of Military and Dual-Use Goods,” with residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, including those carried out with the involvement of residents of other states;

2 suspension of the fulfillment of economic and monetary obligations in favor of residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus for operations on military and dual-use goods.

3 prohibition of transferring technologies and rights to objects of intellectual property rights to residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus; prohibition on the implementation by residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus of actions to obtain protection documents, perform other actions related to the protection of rights to intellectual property (inventions, utility models, industrial designs, layout of semiconductor products, trademarks, geographical indications, plant varieties, copyright objects and related rights), except for actions to extend the validity of intellectual property rights and extend the validity of protection documents; prohibition of registration and accreditation of collective management organizations whose founders are residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;

4 termination of joint projects and industrial programs in the field of security and defense, the participants of which are residents of the Russian Federation and/or the Republic of Belarus, in relation to military and dual-use goods.
