Aliaksandr Lukashenka signed decrees calling for “elections” of “deputies” and “senators.” His press service reports this.

It provides for the appointment of “yabatskas” to the “House of Representatives” of the eighth convocation and local “councils of deputies” of the twenty-ninth convocation on a single voting day — February 25, 2024, and to the “council of the republic” of the eighth convocation — April 4, 2024.

The “nomination” of candidates for members of the “council of the republic” by local “councils of deputies”, executive and administrative bodies must take place no later than March 21, 2024.
