Cadastral Agency Head Of Department Arrested In Hlybokaye

Judge Aliaksandr Aliakseyenka sentenced Siarhei Trotski, head of the Hlybokaye branch of the RUE “Vitsebsk Agency for State Registration and Land Cadastre”, to 10 days of arrest, Viasna Vitsebsk reports.

The man was tried under Part 2 of Article 19.11 Code of Administrative Offenses (Distribution, production, storage, transportation of information products containing calls for extremist activities or propaganda of such activities). He was accused of posting “extremist” materials and a link to an “extremist” YouTube channel on his Odnoklassniki page.

According to human rights activists, the man also lost his position as head of the Hlybokaye branch of the Vitsebsk Agency for State Registration and Land Cadastre.
