Massive Drone Attack On Crimea: Explosions Heard In Dzhankoy

Drones also hit the Volgograd region of Russia.

Russia has reported a massive drone attack on the temporarily occupied Crimea tonight, 24 November.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

It is claimed that Russian air defence forces allegedly shot down 13 drones over the temporarily occupied peninsula.

Russian telegram channels report that 12 of them allegedly failed to overcome the air defence line in the north of Crimea, while another was shot down deep inside the peninsula with small arms fire.

The Russian Defence Ministry also said that Russian air defences had allegedly shot down 3 drones over the territory of the Volgograd region.

Explosions in Dzhankoy

On the night of Friday 24 November, explosions were heard in Dzhankoy in Crimea, which has been temporarily occupied by Russian troops. Locals reported hearing at least 7 loud explosions.

Local chats on Telegram wrote about it. It happened around 00:20.

"Something rattles, loud enough!", "Looks like air defence or hits?", "More like air defence...", "Dzhankoy, 7 hits! The night is no longer lazy", - wrote in the network.

A local channel urged the residents of Dzhankoy to "stay calm and trust only official information".

Ukrainian monitoring channels on Telegram reported that Dzhankoy was probably attacked by drones. The explosions were repeated at around 1:40am.
