Media: Budanov's Wife Poisoned

The wife of Ukraine's intelligence chief is in hospital.

The wife of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, Marianna Budanova, has been poisoned with heavy metals. She was hospitalised after a prolonged deterioration of her health, Babel writes, citing intelligence sources.

"Now the course of treatment is being completed, further control of doctors," said the interlocutor in the GUR, adding that the woman was diagnosed with heavy metal defeat.

The secret service added that such substances are not used in everyday life or in the military.

"Their presence may indicate a deliberate attempt to poison a specific person," the GUR added.
