AFU Officer: Russians Start Retreating, Using Wounded As 'Human Shield'

The real scale of losses of the Russian troops was revealed.

The chief of staff of artillery of the 4th Frontier Brigade, Major of the National Guard Denis Nagorny said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces are actively repelling enemy attacks. The enemy, retreating, uses its own wounded as a "human shield" and replenishes its ranks with convicts and mobilised persons. He said about this on the air of "Espresso".

"The Russians continue to conduct active assaults on the positions of the Defence Forces. In particular they use units of mobilised, "Akhmatovtsy", "Storm-Z". They are trying to gain a foothold on our positions, we are actively repelling these storms," the military officer reported.

The officer adds that the enemy is suffering losses of up to 95 per cent, using their wounded as human shields during the retreat. At the same time, there is an intensive replenishment of the enemy's ranks, particularly by persons who were previously convicted and freshly mobilised.

According to him, active mobilisation has begun in Russia and the enemy is forming its military forces to continue the assaults.

"60% of such units are untrained people, without basic training, so-called cannon fodder and 40% of Russians are directly prepared for assault actions," stressed the chief of staff of artillery of the 4th Frontier Brigade.
