Yan Sukhanov, chief of the headquarters of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, died suddenly in a Moscow hospital. The high-ranking Russian invader was seriously wounded during an attack by the Ukrainian Defence Forces in May 2022.
On Wednesday, November 8, Anatoly Shtefan "Shtirlitz," an officer of the AFU, wrote about the death of the invader on his Telegram channel. The Ukrainian military officer published a screenshot of the obituary, which states that Yan Sukhanov "became 200" in the Russian capital in the hospital named after Burdenko.
The Russian occupier was 44 years old.
Earlier it was reported that Yan Sukhanov was wounded in May 2022 as a result of a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the command post of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily captured Sevastopol.
Then the defenders of our state eliminated three and wounded 14 Russian officers of the brigade's command staff.
It is also known that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the 810th brigade took an active part in the war - this brigade was "zeroed" twice by the Ukrainian Defence Forces. In particular, it tried to carry out amphibious landings between Odesa and Mykolaiv, but was defeated.
Also in the summer of 2022, the occupants of this brigade suffered heavy losses in battles with Ukrainian soldiers in Kherson and Kharkiv regions. There it lost almost 85 per cent of its personnel.
The remnants of the Russian group were withdrawn to the rear, but later it was restored and returned to the front in the Zaporizhzhia direction and near Kherson. The Institute for the Study of War wrote that as of September 2023, the Russian Marines were defeated again.
