Citizens of Belarus are exempt from paying the fee for issuing the document indefinitely.
Poland has extended the simplified procedure for issuing foreign travel documents to Belarusians until June 30, 2025, the Office for Foreigners reported. And citizens of Belarus are exempt from paying the fee for issuing the document indefinitely.
A foreign travel document is a temporary replacement for an identity card that is issued to foreigners if their passport is lost or invalid, and there is no way to get a new one.
The simplified procedure differs from the general procedure in that:
A travel document can be obtained by Belarusians who have never had a travel document (including a passport) before, this applies primarily to children;
Belarusians do not need to prove that they cannot get a passport from the authorities of their country;
Not only a permanent residence permit, EU long-term resident card, humanitarian residence permit or subsidiary protection status, but also a temporary residence permit (regardless of the purpose of issuance) are suitable for submitting an application.
