Ukraine Strengthens Defences On Belarusian Border

Ukrainian border guards assessed the likelihood of a new invasion from the north.

Ukraine continues to mine and fortify the entire border with Belarus. Press Secretary of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko spoke about it, according to Ukrinform.

“The Belarusian direction is a priority for Ukraine in terms of security. Fortunately, there are currently no visible actions on the other side of the border that would pose a threat to Ukraine.

In addition, Russia does not have enough forces in Belarus to carry out a second invasion.

However, we understand that the regime in Belarus continues to support the aggressor state. So, we are still strengthening this direction along the entire borderline and mining it,” Demchenko said.

Earlier, the representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that there are currently no enemy strike forces in Belarus, but Russian forces are still in the country in small numbers (mainly signalmen and air forces personnel). The Ukrainian command considers the situation on the border with Belarus to be under control.
