Russians Halt Bombing Due To Fear After Three Su-34s Destruction

Significant changes took place on the southern front.

The destruction of three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers by the Ukrainian military significantly influenced the tactics of the invaders in the Kherson direction.

“[The downing of three planes had a significant impact on the further activity of the Russian army in the air]. We are observing a lull in the use of guided bombs,” Natalya Humenyuk, press secretary of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, said during the telethon.

According to her, before this there was a period when the weather did not allow the invaders to use this method of air pressure. However, they used the “smallest weather window”, trying to “make up” for what they had lost and very densely bombed the Dnipro sections of the right and left banks with KABs.

“But for now we see that they are in significant and deep thought. They're really looking into what it was and how dangerous it continues to be. So far we have not recorded any bombings,” Humenyuk noted.

On December 22 at noon, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down three Su-34s at once in the southern direction.

Military expert and former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Stupak believes that the destroyed planes could have been from a new batch.

According to Yuriy Ihnat, the speaker of the UAF Air Forces, the insolent Russian invaders tried to fly closer to strike at the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, but the Ukrainian defenders took them by surprise and carried out a lightning-fast and elegant operation.
