Russian President Vladimir Putin is sure that, despite international isolation, he can survive Ukraine and its Western partners, but he is wrong.

U.S. Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin expressed his opinion.

“Now, despite his isolation, Putin believes that he can outlive the Ukrainians. But he is wrong. Now Putin also thinks that he can outlive us. He believes that our coalition will fall apart, that our willpower will fade, and that our democracy will simply become distracted... But once again, Putin is wrong,” Austin said.

He said that the U.S. leadership must explain to their citizens the importance of supporting Ukraine again and again.
