Explosions occurred in the Russian city of Belgorod. This is reported by local Telegram channels.

According to eyewitnesses, a series of loud explosions sounded in the sky over Belgorod and the region. The work of air defense was also reported.

Later, the local Telegram channel reported that more than 20 “bangs” were heard in Belgorod.

Residents of Belgorod also publish on social media the footage of what presumably is the debris from the objects shot down in the sky above the city.

It is reported that a private home was hit in the city. According to preliminary information, there are casualties.

No water supply in Belgorod

Russian media Baza reports that after the explosions in the city, water supply was lost in some streets.

Belgorod Governor reacts to the explosions

Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that an air defense system allegedly worked over the city.

“Several air targets were shot down on approach to the city. Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground. According to preliminary data, there is one dead and one injured,” Gladkov said.
